Video Premiere: The Chainsmokers - #SELFIE
With the advent of smartphones and social media, selfies have become an inseparable part of our lives. New York-based DJ duo The Chainsmokers, composed of Drew Taggart and Alex Pall, decided to take advantage of the growing trend by remixing a monologue from a narcissistic female club-goer talking about the importance of taking good selfies before uploading them to her instagram account. They turned it into an instant classic entitled "#SELFIE".
The Ike Love Jones-directed iconic music video shows model Lindsey Diane bitching in the women's room about a guy who keeps texting her, others' fashion and bragging about her popularity on social media. The clip also features cameos from DJ Steve Aoki, rapper Snoop Dogg, actor David Hasselhoff, Far East Movement, Waka Flocka Flame, WWE NXT superstar Tyler Breeze, Canadian DJ A-Trak and Ian Somerhalder and many others. #SELFIE became a viral hit in part thanks to its celebrity support.
